Are my images uploaded to split them?

No. The image is sliced in your browser on a canvas, so it never leaves your device.

What if my image doesn't divide evenly?

Tiles are sized as evenly as possible and the last row and column absorb any leftover pixels, so no part of the image is lost.

What format are the tiles?

Each tile is a lossless PNG, named tile-<row>-<col>.png inside the ZIP so they stay in order.
